To reinforce Leander ISD's unique learning model, Parkside Elementary School students are arranged by grade level in small Neighborhoods, which keep specialized features within reach.
In each Neighborhood, students circulate through large and smalle group learning areas. L-shaped classrooms enhance flexible teaching styles, with special program rooms, science nooks, and work areas located nearby. Strategically placed windows share daylight and views between classrooms and common spaces. There's even livestock, of the technological kind: wireless capability supports COWs ("Computers-On-Wheels") in every Neighborhood.
