As part of extensive additions and renovations to the existing high school, a large science and fine arts addition was added. The fine arts complex includes two theatres, two dance studios, and four music rehearsal halls.
The expanded JROTC space more than tripled in size, adding an indoor shooting range, secure armory storage and a large muster drill space, as well as classrooms, offices, dressing rooms and storage for uniforms and supply.
A third gymnasium was also added. Other spaces renovated included the nurse’s office, administration area, library, cafeteria, journalism and special education. The fine arts lobby features a vast color mural running along a soaring open commons space. The mural was designed and painted by a recent graduate of the high school.
The existing backstage area in the main building was transformed into new cafeteria serving lines with a theatrical flair. A shallow stage was maintained for sports banquets and other large events.
