Eanes I.S.D. Austin, Texas This ninth grade center was built adjacent to the existing Eanes High School yet was designed to be autonomous with its own library, cafeteria and gymnasium.
The school district was seeking a facility that would offer students the opportunity to explore a range of career paths. The school design includes a small television broadcast facility, science labs, robotics/ electronics labs, a music/ recording room, business/ marketing classrooms, computer & technology rooms, fine/ theatre arts spaces, and other vocational facilities.
The complex itself was built over an existing waterway to conserve remaining open space on the site. Two "rotundas" both unify way finding and lend a collegiate atmosphere.
