Alamo Community College – St. Phillips College

San Antonio, Texas

The Nursing and Allied Health Building on the St. Philip’s College campus is truly an innovative design. It includes lecture halls, classroom spaces, and even mock nursing labs, complete with a hospital-like setting with operating and patient rooms. This new state-of-the-art facility will accelerate the health industry’s standard of learning. The building is also the new home to the administration services, which includes offices for student services. The area will be renamed to be the One-Stop for the school, and offer students the opportunity to register, test, and receive financial aid.

At the far end of the building, the new Learning Resource Center will be moved to include a covered plaza which sits underneath the library stacks. A view from the third floor overlooks the open stacks area and provides an ample reading area. Ample study rooms line the exterior walls of the open space.
