While the scope of the renovations at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center primarily involves mechanical work, the overall intent of these renovations is to refashion the Texas Swim Center into one of the premier swimming facilities in the country and to bring the NCAA swimming championships to the University in the future. Renovation work on this project includes a complete redesign of the air flow of the competition space, replacing all of the air handler units to insure that clean air flows throughout the facility on a daily cycle. The University selected Pfluger Associates and its consultants for their ability to integrate BIM modeling towards the study and redesign of the air flow patterns of a high performance competition sports facility.
